Ship deliveries, PCTC sales, and success during Nor-Shipping Week
This month has been particularly eventful for European Maritime Finance. We were pleased to announce the delivery of two vessels: our second PCTC, Green Star, and our ninth and final Aframax/LR2, Athenian Star.
Additionally, a reception held during Nor-Shipping Week allowed us to celebrate the sale of the two PCTC vessels with our investors.
Sale of Green Star and delivery of Athenian Star
European Maritime Finance announces the successful sale and delivery of its second PCTC (Pure Car Truck Carrier), Green Star. This dual-fuel LNG-powered vessel, with a capacity of 7,000 vehicles, represents a major advancement in sustainable maritime transport, designed to use liquefied natural gas as a cleaner alternative to heavy fuel oil. This sale marks another success for EMF and reflects the ongoing growth and resilience of the automotive transport sector.
We are also pleased to announce the completion of the Athenian Star, EMF’s ninth tanker. Built by Daehan Shipbuilding in South Korea, a renowned player known for excellence and innovation, this vessel exemplifies the success of our long-standing partnership with the shipyard, as well as our confidence in their expertise and punctuality. The Athenian Star has now been delivered and chartered to a major oil company for an initial period of twelve months, extendable by an additional eight months, significantly strengthening our market presence.
A flagship event in Oslo during Nor-Shipping Week
European Maritime Finance reached a new milestone this month by celebrating the sale of its first two PCTCs at a reception held at its Oslo offices. This event, organized during Nor-Shipping Week — a major gathering in the maritime industry — brought together investors, partners, and key industry players.
Attendees included representatives from Clarksons, Hyundai, several embassies, as well as EMF’s management team. The event provided an opportunity to reflect on our recent successes and discuss upcoming investment opportunities in the maritime sector. We warmly thank all our guests for their presence and contribution to the success of this gathering.
