Recently, we have observed a significant influx of new investors, and it is encouraging to see that more and more investors are recognizing the value of maintaining a diversified portfolio, including alternative investments like ours. A stable sector in an unstable world Although stock markets have experienced significant volatility and declines in recent months, the fundamental values of the maritime sector have remained stable. In fact, certain segments, such as tankers, have seen their profits increase substantially during this period, demonstrating the potential for alternative investments to perform counter-cyclically compared to traditional markets. As highlighted by JP Morgan Asset Management (see figure below), alternative assets can help reduce the overall volatility of a portfolio, thus providing stability during turbulent times. Despite widespread geopolitical uncertainty, most maritime markets continue to develop steadily. We remain confident in our investments and the future outlook.
