Bien qu'inférieurs aux niveaux de pointe, ces taux demeurent très rentables pour les propriétaires. Cette stabilisation des taux, combinée à l'amélioration des dynamiques commerciales, suggère une confiance croissante du marché et des fondamentaux plus solides à l'approche de la mi-année. Les volumes d'exportation chinois records stimulent la demande Du côté de la demande, les exportations maritimes de véhicules de la Chine ont atteint un nouveau record mensuel en avril, augmentant de plus de 14 % par rapport à l'année précédente pour atteindre environ 566 000 unités. Les exportations vers l'Europe ont été particulièrement robustes, avec une hausse de près de 9 %, stimulée par une demande croissante pour les véhicules hybrides. La plupart des grandes régions ont affiché une croissance d'une année sur l'autre, à l'exception de la Russie, où les exportations ont chuté d'environ 36 %. La vigueur persistante des exportations de véhicules asiatiques – notamment vers l'Europe et l'Amérique latine – soutient la demande continue pour la capacité mondiale des transporteurs de voitures, renforçant ainsi l'environnement tarifaire actuel.
