Le groupe a confirmé une augmentation de la production de 138 000 bpj en avril, marquant ainsi sa première étape vers un assouplissement progressif de ces réductions. Cette décision fait suite à la pression exercée par le président Trump pour abaisser les prix du pétrole dans un contexte d'incertitude géopolitique. Cette augmentation relativement modeste se traduit par une demande supplémentaire d'environ 5 pétroliers suezmax, ce qui souligne le potentiel considérable si la réduction totale de 2,2 mbj est levée. Augmentation des revenus prévue pour les mois à venir Une production accrue se traduit par davantage d'exportations de brut pour le marché des pétroliers. Cela accroît la demande de navires-citernes, principalement les VLCC et Suezmax, qui transportent le pétrole sur de longues distances. Avec une croissance limitée de la flotte, une augmentation du volume de cargaisons en mer pourrait faire grimper les tarifs.
