Les analystes prévoient désormais qu'il faudra au moins six mois supplémentaires avant que les principales lignes de conteneurs ne reprennent leurs opérations normales. La plupart des transporteurs continuent de contourner l'Afrique, car le risque d'attaques de missiles houthis reste trop élevé. Quelques transporteurs asiatiques de moindre envergure, principalement chinois, continuent d'opérer dans la région, mais le trafic global à travers le canal de Suez demeure restreint. Les temps de voyage prolongés et les distances accrues peuvent entraîner une réduction de l'offre de navires Si les tensions s'intensifient davantage – en particulier si l'Iran s'implique davantage – les perturbations pourraient se prolonger jusqu'à la fin de 2025.
